This policy explains how Brolyx (“we”, “us”) collects and uses personal data when you visit brolyx.com or buy from us. We follow UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.

Who we are

What we collect

  • Orders and accounts: name, delivery and billing address, email, phone number, order history.
  • Payments: handled by our payment providers. We do not store full card details.
  • Messages: anything you send us by email or the contact form.
  • Website usage: pages viewed, device and browser type, approximate location, collected through Google Analytics only if you accept analytics cookies.

Why we use it and our legal basis

  • To take, deliver and support your orders (contract).
  • To meet tax, accounting and legal duties (legal obligation).
  • To prevent fraud and keep the site secure (legitimate interests).
  • To measure and improve the site with analytics (consent).
  • To send marketing emails, only if you opt in (consent). You can unsubscribe at any time.

Who we share it with

Only service providers who help us run the shop: web hosting (Hostinger), payment processors, delivery carriers, email providers and Google Analytics. They may only use your data to provide their service to us.

How long we keep it

Order and accounting records for 6 years. Account data until you ask us to delete it. Messages for up to 2 years. Analytics data for up to 14 months.

Email updates

If you join our email list (the “Join the crew” form, or the marketing box at checkout), we collect your first name and email address and, with your consent, send you news about new products, guides and offers. We store these details with our email provider, Hostinger Reach, which acts as our processor. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in every email, or by emailing admin@brolyx.com. Your consent is the legal basis, and we keep your details until you unsubscribe. We never ask you to join the list to buy, and we do not sell your data.

Your rights

You can ask to see, correct, delete or restrict the use of your data, object to its use, withdraw consent, or ask for a copy to move elsewhere. Email admin@brolyx.com and we will reply within one month.

Complaints

If you are unhappy with how we handle your data, contact us first. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.

Changes

We may update this policy and will change the date above when we do.
